How can We Help, FNB??
On the 29th June 2020 had an unauthorised debit order for R530.68 from Iwyze Old Mutual. I tried to reverse it via the FNB App but could not as it gave an error message that it can not be processed. On the 10th July I visited the Kolonnade Mall branch where I was advised that I could not be assisted in reversing the debit I should do it via the App under covid-19, that was done and the Consultant it would take up to 10days for the agent to call or the reversal to be processed and the money to reflect back into my account. As I write even today no agent called or the money being reversed. No one says anything. On the 28th July I went to the FNB Montana branch and they just went through my account and said they dont have the function to reverse the debit order I must just accept that the money is gone. So, I have to just let go R530 go just like that because FNB cannot do anything especially in this trying times of covid19 whereby every cent counts. That R530 cane off the grocery money for my kids. I am still traumatized on how heartless the FNB staff can be and l why FNB is treating me like this. I moved my main bond account to another bank due to service that I get from FNB. After the way I am treated like I have no value at FNB maybe because I dont bring millions like other clients as the R109 monthly that I pay for charges at FNB it means nothing to them. I feel it is time I have moved my other bond, cheque account and all other accounts for my spouse and kids to another bank. It is so disappointing to find out like this that you are actually nothing to your bank. To actually help FNB as we see that we are a burden while there are more important clients to attend to, we might as well move out of the way to create more space.
