“How can we f@*k you?”

Dear FNB,

Here's a suggestion for your slogan: “How can we f@*k you?” Below I'll count the ways:

1. I tried to order your Cash Passport Forex card through my online banking (business account) three days before traveling and was told “I'm too late to pre-order” after supplying all but a bone marrow sample during filling out the form online.

2. I go to your dismal Forex branch in Sandton City and after half an hour of waiting to be served I get a “Please use next teller” sign shoved in my face while there ARE only two tellers on average taking 30 minutes to serve one client.

3. Your same dismal Forex branch in Sandton City also turns out to be 'out of stock' of the Cash Passport cards.

4. I try to buy Forex in cash and I'm told I need a company letter to authorize myself to do so for a business account on which I'm the sole signatory.

5. I circumvent step 4 by filling out a lengthy form supp**** at said dismal Forex branch, supplying everything from company registration numbers (which you ought to have considering it is a BUSINESS account) to “mode of travel”. Seriously? How do people get overseas these days and why do you ****** care how I get there?

6. After step 5 I am told that my company registration number is “not captured on your system” for my BUSINESS ACCOUNT that was opened in 2014 and that I'll have to queue at your regular branch to have that done or forfeit getting Forex through you.

Needless to say, by now I've decided to buy Forex through a competent establishment instead of FNB Sandton, and also to close my business account as soon as I return from my trip.

So you ask how you can f@*k me? I count 6 ways in one transaction from the above bullet points.

Sincerely,

Ex-customer
