' how can they help you get stewed over'

05 June 2018 I was ****med R10000 buy a ' dealership by the name Acel Motors. The dealerships bank account was an FNB business Account. I transferred the money in the account and then on the 06 June realised it was a ****, I tried to reverse the payment however I couldn't as I was told that the money could not be reversed since it was *****/ **** related. I informed the ***** department who then informed me to open a police case, get an affidavit and supply other documents to the bank. I received feedback from the ***** department and they said they can not refund my account which I still do not understand why because the perpetrators are FNB clients the ********** had already been reported by another victim. Another factor I do not understand is that whenever I make a payment into another account of a big lump sum the bank calls to confirm if I was the one making the payment. Yet in this case I received no phone call made which makes me feel that someone at the bank may have been working with the *******. This also shows how negligent the FNB was in this case and how many other people are victims of such?

Even though I initiated the payment why did the bank not return the funds because I did what was required by the bank, the proof was there including the victim who reported the ********. The perpetrators are FNB clients the transaction was done within a 48 hour period. I went to the Dube branch in Soweto and the consultant advised me that once I have sent the documents required the bank would reimburse me however that never happened. I really feel failed by ' the most innovative bank' FNB. I wonder if I was a white client would I have received the same treatment???? I have contacted the complaints department at FNB no response has been given. So which bank do we bank with if our banks treat us like this???
