Horrible business practice and borderline fr*udulent
I'm really starting to hate this bank and I don't know why I'm still with them because they have got some ***** business practices. Today R800 went off my account for purchases over 2 weeks ago that had already gone through and now I'm sitting on negative R600. I'm a student on a student debit account. How is it possible that I can go R600 into debt without a credit allowance. I never ever spend more than what is shown in my available balance yet this has happened multiple times despite me not having credit. At this point I feel like they do this on purpose so that they can also charge you interest on your debt which is often a couple hundred rand. Fnb please fix this mistake of yours. How can you be putting an account into R600 overdraft when I've never once spent above my available amount. This is *****ing from your customers. Horrible horrible business practices
However, this doesn't help because there is still R800 missing from my account that I would please like refunded. Furthermore, I am on a debit account so I would like for purchases to DECLINE if I do not have funds. How do you tell a customer that they have x amount of money then when they spend it all of a sudden I didn't actually have the funds, which puts them in the negatives. This is straight up thievery and it is not the first time it happened and I often end up paying for FNBs mistakes. Through some preditory fees for going into overdraft even though my card doesn't allow overdrafts
