Homeloans - bad service on query regarding penalty on notice

Really bad experience. I called call centre and gave notice on homeloan. I was told that no penalty imposed then when lawyer sent me figures - I was billed around R5000 penalty. I also had debit order go off just before transfer and no refund was done. I called and followed up and mailed but no feedback
