2 weeks ago I requested and made my homeloan paid up. I was not told about lawyers fees. When the attorneys office called me notifying me that they are awaiting documentation from Fnb to transfer onto my name. I queried this with Fnb. I was told i needed to budget *** amount for the transfer.

Today I received a proforma invoice for much more than estimated. Fnb homeloan tells me that a attorney is selected according to distance to the address in question and regarding the attorneys cost... what every they decides to charge.! Since the cilent is going to fit the cost, fnb should advice the cilent as following:-

Do you want Fnb to allocate a attorney for you from our panel? Would you, the cilent like to pick a attorney from our panel? Giving the cilent the opportunity to shop within fnbs panel regarding the cheapest cost.

Trying to get someone to assist from Fnb is a mission, half the day on the phone.
