Home Loans dont want my business

I app**** for a home loan at three financial institutions three days ago, and have received final approval from your competitor which expires in 4 days.

I tried to speed up an answer from FNB, only to be told I will receive a provisional offer by tomorrow, and another 3 days for the valuator to confirm.

That means that FNB's processes are so bad that their competitors offers expire before they've even made theirs.

The fact that I'm an FNB client, with an excellent credit rating means zero. Should I reconsider FNB as my banking partner as clearly I'm not important?

The poor call center have also rehe****d and repeatedly told me that I must adhere to the turnaround times, and my calls were not resolved and my case not escalated. Shocking.

I'm going to decline your loan offer and go with your competitors. Your consideration of future income on my current home loan necessary to grant me the full loan was not a limiting factor in their decision making process.

I must admit I am bitterly disappointed in FNB and will be revising my decision to bank with you based on the poor service and then poor outcome of my request.

Always give credit where credit is due.

After an initial bad experience with FNB that left me reeling and determined not to proceed with FNB any further, the persistence of one of your employees, Rene Cronje, to try and resolve the matter has made me have a change of heart.

Although I am still of the opinion that FNBs home loan processes are not customer centric (you take fourteen days to give final approval and your competitors two), I would like to take the time to say my deepest thanks to Rene for her commitment to service excellence. Her integrity and maturity during the process has turned my perspective around, and she displays a true passion for her work.
