Home Loans

We have a Home Loan with FNB and have always been good payers. Our bond is also minimal. We have overdrafts, credit cards and revolving credit with FNB and decided to take a further bond so that we could settle all these plus my car. They come back to me saying that affordability is a problem and because my husband has a judgement for a vet bill for R777 (that was paid as we only found out about it when the attorney phoned us!) the payment for a the further bond which takes our bond to about R600 000, would be R8000.00 a month! Oh and because of affordability we cannot get the further bond! But... they have no issue for me to take a temporary loan or even upgrade my account to PLATINUM!!! I think its because they know that if I settle all those accounts, they won't be making money. Well... sorry to say, I will be moving to another bank!
