Home loan

For the past 2 years we are trying to obtain a home loan from FNB which is my husbands bank for more than 15 years. They keep on declining due to my husband owing Wesbank R155 000 - there was a dispute on the outstanding amount owing to Wesbank between myself and Wesbank as I questioned the original outstanding amount which was almost R400 000 and after querying this, I received a letter stating that he owes only R155 000 now. we pay off each and every month to this balance owing . This was declared in his financial statements but as we are not receiving statements regularly, the auditor used the R ********** amount which was incorrect at the time. We needed financial statements in order for us to submit an application therefore we used this balance. Unfortunately the decision makers at FNB cannot work around this issue as they do not work on merits but strictly on 'what the book says, in other words, they do not have an opinion of their own and therefore cannot make decisions which will benefit both parties. I have been dealing with FNB in Fairlands for the passed few months and I must admit that the lady I've been working with is very helpful but her superior not. In my opinion, FNB must change ALL their slogans as they are false : help people to help themselves, how can we help etc. All are totally false and incorrect statements. We are going to loose our house due to people not willing to 'help'as being propagated all over. We can afford buying this property : we have been paying almost half the amount wanted on renting the property due to FNB dragging feet and having excuses for everything. Rathe make you slogan : how can we not help you? You're excellent at that one.
