On Monday, I was informed that the hold was due to my not accepting the shortfall protection on the account. I was advised to accept it and wait 24 hours for the hold to be lifted. However, I have now been informed that the hold is due to my cheque account being in overdraft.
The reason I increased my revolving credit was because my medical aid double debited me without prior notification, causing my account to go into overdraft. I increased my revolving credit as I needed funds urgently. Now, I am being told that there is a hold on the revolving credit due to the overdraft on my cheque account. why did you then approve the credit limit increase in the first place.
I have since transferred money to my cheque account, and it is no longer in overdraft. Therefore, I request that the hold on the revolving credit facility be lifted immediately. Additionally, I would appreciate it if you could provide consistent and accurate information in the future, as I have received conflicting explanations for the hold on my revolving credit since Monday.
