High interest rate
I app**** for a home loan of R910 000 last year April and received an approval from STD bank and FNB, and I went with FNB quote as they were my primary bank.

Their interest then was 9.25% with repayments of R8025 a month, when I app**** I was unfortunately not informed about the option to fixed my interest rates, as a result to date my interest rate has gone up to 11% and repayments almost R9000, which makes me regret ever accepting their offer.

I called the call centre and they informed me that after April , I can apply for a rate review and my premium will be lowered, I did last week and unfortunately, FNB does not care about their clients as they pretend to, they did not even bother to decrease the interest by any percentage.

I received a response saying the interest is favourable, why would I bother myself applying for a rate review if I was coping with the repayments, my kids go to sleep hungry as I try to maintain the repayments so that we do not loose the house, and they couldn't care, they are just waiting for me to be in arrears and they would sell the house and make more profit.

I regret ever accepting their offer, or banking with them.
