Hero Deal Gone Wrong (FNB a ****)

I recently app**** for a Hero's Cellphone Deal via the FNB app. It was approved, however, what followed was a series of frustrating customer service engagements from FNB and it's courier partner RAM.

Firstly, on delivery RAM couriers parked outside my gate and hooted without even making a call to me. I had asked a third party to receive a delivery on my behalf but was told that cannot happen as RAM did not have the details. On the same day, I called FNB to make sure they have the details. The second delivery was also not left with the third party as RAM claimed to still not have the details. The next thing I received a call from RAM stating that the third delivery was a failure and my order would be cancelled. This is despite the fact that I had been home on this day and I had not received a call or a hooter from the rude RAM drivers. I was then told to contact FNB.

I contacted FNB and was told to re-apply. I asked if this would reflect on my credit record and was told that it won't as there's already an application. Needless to say each time I tried re-applying, I received an error that I already had an application in the system and each time I called FNB , I was told that I should try re-applying. I then received notification from the credit bureau that there had been 5 enquiries on my profile from FNB. I am livid! The incompetency of FNB staff had led to unnecessary enquiries on my profile and this affects my credit score.

I demand that FNB rectify this credit bureau mess and deal with the members of its staff who dish out incorrect information. I still don't have the phone but it's okay because FNB does not take care of its clients.

I am at this stage even considering closing my account. How do I trust a bank that cannot provide simple information and direction on an issue?
