Hard Hold on Account

It has turned out to be virtually impossible to withdraw funds from an account that has been placed on a 'hard-hold'. FNB is witholding the cash deposit as they say the profile has a Name and an ID that dont match. That make sense as I openened an account for my Daughter when she was born using my ID/RICA in her name. This account and money seems to be lost forever. RIP FNB

Reviewer Update

After another two days and a weekend in-between I get a response saying the complaint has been resolved and apologies for the delayed reponse. The hard-hold has supposedly been lifted but it remains impossible to give notice to withdraw funds.

As usual I get a response from a named individual but there are NO contact details other than "Premier Resolution Centre". I email the individual C/O resolution Centre and again as usual no acknowledgement, No Reference number and NO resolution.

I also need to know if a "Hard-Hold" is a statutory obligation in terms of the FICA Act or is it a T&C of FNB either way I need to see it written in a publically accessible document because specifically what does it restrict. I have been denied the ability to give notice on a notice deposit due to a fault of FNB and they have made no effort to remedy the situation. By remedy I dont mean resolve the query or "answer the query" I gave written notice on the deposit and the notice has been ignored - it should have been actioned and the deposit paid out once the hard-hold was lifted.

FNB get your act together and dont hide behind complicated workflow process's - you have breached my contract with you and I would expect a real resolution.
