Harassment over non-deposit into account.
I opened a business account with FNB and all was well. Then my business folded and I could not make any deposits into this account. My bank charges accumulated to the amount of R2216 and three months later I'm being handed over to their attorneys, who's fees I will also have to pay. I didn't take out a loan at FNB but their attorneys claim that I have an outstanding amount due to them. This was only bank charges and not a loan. Just over a year ago I tried to cancel a payment structure that was supposed to be a once-off payment and because I refused to continue paying, FNB didn't want to cancel or close my account and I ended up paying over R4000 in 'unpaid debit order fees'. I never thought I would encounter the same problem with them again. I should never have opened the business account with FNB!
It would also be appreciated if they close my savings account and any other accounts I have with them. In this harsh economic climate we're facing, we don't need this treatment from a bank that asks 'How can we help you'. Thank you!
