Harassed by FNB attorneys on the elderly

My father settled all his debts as confirmed by DebtBusters on 08 March 2021 however since 2022 he has been harassed by FNB lawyers indicating that he has an outstanding debt on one of his loan accounts that DebtBusters had indicated were all cleared. We later discovered that DebtBusters used the incorrect reference number when they made payment to FNB hence the amount to date shows as outstanding. My father went to an FNB branch in Butterworth to try and resolve this matter and he was advised to write a letter to FNB detailing the issue and also provide correct references and email it to ***. An email was sent to this email address together with the letter and supporting information on 13 August 2023. A follow up email was sent again on 15 August 2023 as we had not received even an acknowledgement of receipt email. The unfair persistent harassment by your lawyers is taking a toll on my elderly father.

We have also taken up this matter with DebtBusters who have told us that unfortunately there is nothing they can do from their side if they are not getting a response from FNB.
