Gun to omy head

I recently signed up for an FNB my connect package and received the sim card in record time. However, I chose not to port my number through to FNB as I was going to use it in a secondary phone.

FNB sent me an sms stating that I need to use up my data and airtime because it will be lost when the port happens 9 this is at 8PM when the call Centre is closed0 . I panic and try to get in touch with my premier banker but to no avail. 20 minutes later and my current phone doesn't work anymore - FNB had ported my number from Cell C to theirs.

I call the my connect call Centre and get through after 38 long minutes, only for the agent to tell me that I need to follow a long process of getting my number back from Cell C and that I would have to incur the cost of a new sim card PLUS forfeit the Data, airtime and sms bundles that I had.
I cannot be without a phone as my livelihood depends on it so I am held hostage by FNB to either stick with them or go through the hassle of adding my number back to cell c.

I am not even bothered by this, I will keep the number till the 18th of December when I will migrate both my number and bank to another provider.
