"GREAT" service from FNB

someone with drew money from my mom's account in 2016 and she received no sms notification as should be. We launched a complaint which I believe is still being investigated.

Today she called the FNB call centre on ********** and spoke to a lady named Ria. My mom wanted to know about their banking sms notification services as she did not receive any notification (as per norm) regarding her salary being paid into her account (her salary normally reflects on the 28th of every month).

Ria responded by saying: "It's not the bank's responsibility if you receive or don't receive a notification. If you get one you get one and if you don't you don't".

given the above response, how much can employees of this bank do to peoples accounts without them knowing? Such a response is definitely not helpful to anyone and is especially rude given that Ria was speaking to an elderly woman.
