Gold Smart Phone from FNB was just a rip-off...

My experience with FNB has been excellent until I purchased the Gold Smart device.

My Gold Smart phone from FNB was damged (Cracked Screen) in June 2016 and I went to report it in the branch (FNB Boulders) but was told they cannot assist and they gave me a number to contact (WeFix Mall of Africa) to get a quote. I then called WeFix without any success and I dediced to go there physically, at WeFix I was told that FNB no longer gives them parts to fix the phones anymore and at the time they had Gold Smart phones that were there for about 3 months.

I then dediced to go back to my FNB branch to inform them about the response I got. They professionally assisted me this time calling the Smart device department, Here I got a new solution, to go to (WeFix Woodmead) because the lady on the phone promised that they could take the phone and give me a new one as they no longer fix these Gold phones. when I got there, the story was different, I had to book in the phone for fixing. I confidently booked it in with the hope of having it fixed. They also told me that if they do not recieve stock in a month, they would initiate a process to replace my phone. they promised to contact me in a week's time.

I then decided to contact them after two weeks of not hering from them, they said, "we are still waiting for stock". by the end of October they called me to ask fo my ID mumber, the lady on the phone said " we are going to order a new device for you". To my surprise after a week I received a message informing me that they are still waiting for stock and again a week later, they called asking for my ID number and a week later again I received a message telling me that they are still waiting for stock. On the second call I decided to inform the lady of the confussion they are causing because I was no longer sure if I am getting a new device or my device would be fixed.

Its 5 months today and going into the 6th month without the phone that I pay monthly.

FNB is and has always been a good bank for me but the service in this regard is very terrible.

Regards

TT
