Global Pandemic cost me my job and FNB shows no regard for long and loyal years of banking with them.
I have been banking with FNB for a good 15yrs give or take and I have a few obligations with them. I got retrenched from work in 2021, and in light of that I have tried to pay all accounts upfront and request for my debit orders to be suspended for the amount of months paid upfront and FNB credit management refuses to have such an agreement in place. I no longer have a monthly income, I cannot afford monthly payments and as such I made it a point that I pay 12instalments upfront, while I seek employment.
I am not just asking for a payment break, I am saying:"let me pay upfront and the monthly instalments be deducted from that lumpsum" I am taking some responsibility and showing commitment to servicing the debts, but FNB is not willing to do that for a customer of more than 10years, with a good debt record.
I am dissapointed, this is definitely a deal breaker for me. I am moving to another bank.
