Global Account Issues with FNB

I have banked with FNB for most of my working life and, until recently, have had very little to complain about. That is until approximately three weeks ago when I noticed that one of my accounts was no longer reflected on my internet banking app. I contacted client/customer services on Thursday 03 March 2022 but was given the complete run-a-around. I was bounced from department to department and even informed that the bank has/had no record of that particular account. Eventually I was given yet another contact number and spoke to one Brandon Carolus - a consultant in FNB’s Forex division. He informed me that the account could have been declared ‘dormant’ but (if this was the case) he could not explain why I had not been informed prior to FNB taking this action. As an aside FNB has yet to confirm that the account was indeed declared dormant. Carolus initially appeared very efficient and informed me that he would look into the issue and get back to me once the account had been fully resurrected. The following week the account re-appeared on my profile - minus the relevant funds. I once again contacted the Forex division but Carolus was unable (or unwilling) to speak to me. I was assured, however, that the missing funds would be transferred into my account no later than close of business on Friday 11 March 2022. It is now nearly a week down the line and there is still no sign of the missing funds. This whole episode has now entered its third week with apparently no resolution in sight. I find this totally unacceptable and intend to proceed with a case of ***** against person/persons unknown within FNB as this appears to be the only logical explanation on why the bank cannot fully reinstate my account - other than complete incompetence from all those involved.
