GIGANTIC hole in FNB's security systerms

Totally shocking experience

1. I called online banking as I am not receiving OTP's to my phone 2. I successfully completed the long-winded verification process – ID, card number, pin – and went through to a consultant with whom I had to complete the latter process all over again!!! 3. My issue is that of the past 4 days I have not been receiving OTP to my phone 4. The consultant said that my phone had to be d-linked as I switched from a Samsung to an iPhone THREE WEEKS ago 5. He then proceeded to ask me a long list of obscure questions 6. I answered all 100% accurately 7. I was informed that I had FAILED the authentication and that I would have to go into the branch to get the phone d-linked 8. He also said that the OTP’s were STILL being sent to my old Samsung phone 8. I sold the phone with the FNB app on the phone!!! The person who now has my phone is receiving my OTP’s!!!!!!

Your outrageous and preposterously inaccurate verification for security reasons amount to DIDDLY SQUAT given that you have a HUGE HOLE in same!!

A total stranger is receiving OTP’s to my bank account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is PREPOSTEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why when switching to a new phone, was I not contacted to explain that the old device had to be d-linked and the new phone linked!!!

3rd world security! 3rd world customer care!!!!

I have been with FNB for 30 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
