Get the basics right!!!
An additional deduction was made on my credit card for Netflix. Assuming it might be possible ***** I contacted FNB. First response I got was "If it is something you don't recognize, contact the FNB ***** department. I then contacted Netflix, and within minutes they confirmed that they weren't the culprits and I should contact FNB. I then contacted the FNB ***** department. They told me that everything looks above board, but cannot confirm anything and I should contact the FNB accounts department for clarity. I then contacted FNB again. The lady at FNB told me that it looks like a charge levied by FNB but she cannot confirm if it is the case, and that she will get my banker to contact me with the details. Well guess what, still no word from my banker.
How can it be in this day and age, that a blue chip company like FNB cannot communicate to their clients that there will now be going forward a service charge for Netflix, if paid via credit card. Why should I phone around and try and get to the bottom of this. Shouldn’t the first FNB staff member I contacted be in a position to tell me everything is fine, and that they now decided to charge for these transactions. Surely they all are linked to the same system?
