Gamifive Subscription **** and Poor Service from FNB Connect in dealing with it!

I received an SMS this morning notifying me that I had been subscribed to a paid subscription of R7 per day! I nearly ignored the SMS as it was not addressed to me, but decided to research the ***** online just to be sure. Sadly I discovered that people are actually getting charged for this **** around the world!! I immediately contacted FNB ***** department. They were unable to help, and referred me to FNB connect department. I had to wait for the annoying auto-answering service to finish asking me questions. When I eventually got through but the customer service, they were unhelpful and seemed uninterested in the ****. I was told that there was were no subscriptions on the phone number in questions but still needed to check by dealing the USSD code of *133*1# or by dealing *147# [Important numbers to remember if you're on FNB and need to check if you've been ****med]. There I discovered that I HAD been *******ly subscribed to 2 paid subscriptions!!! Eventually I was able to unsubscribe, after phoning FNB Connect again and speaking to the supervisor.

Firstly, why did the subscription NOT show up on FNB Connect's system? Secondly, why do they not seem interested in creating a safer environment for customers? They claim to have no control over subscriptions, but I don't buy this. At very least, they should send out a warning to FNB Connect customers to warn them about this ****, and include details about how to block future subscriptions and unsubscribe from subscriptions.

I have NEVER subscribed to anything before and never will, and the phone in question is never used online. The subscription was completely *******!!

Such ****s are greatly concerning and need to be addressed!
