Funeral claim

So I had insured a family member under my funeral policy and when I claimed last week they did investigations because a lot of people had insured him.My thing is why allow me to insure the person in the first place,should have rejected the application and set a limit.My claim is still being processed. I had to go around borrowing money so that I can also help with the burial.No one calls me with the outcome or anything.Beyond upset
