Funds missing

In September we made a purchase and the vendor said the transaction failed yet it actually went through. We then did another transaction which went through. The issue was that a R1905 was sitting in the pending and taken from our account.

After following up with the vendor the money was not paid over to them but was still sitting as pending on FNB. We then logged a complaint with FNB via the secure banking message and promised that within 10days they will respond, well that never happened.

Then on the 17 October I called their online service and was given the following reference RN ********** ********** . The agent then tried to resolve my query as the money was now removed from pending and not refunded back into my account. The agent after keeping me holding for some time came to the same conclusion that when she adds up all the transactions the R1905 is just missing. At the time of writing this I have still not heard back from FNB in this regard and have since logged a direct complaint with them to which again as usual no response.

My business account is with FNB and I am currently looking at other banks to take over my account as clearly they do not take my multi-million rand account serious.

Dear Daffnie Thank you for your concern in regards to this matter. I did receive a response from FNB and to put it mildly it was just an email saying the funds had been transferred back to my bank account. When I add up the amounts prior to the 16 October and after that date it has not changed at all. An email was sent back to FNB asking for proof that it had been done they have again as expected failed to even respond. It amazes me that a bank who advertises about being on the forfront of technology etc cannot provide me with simple proof that the funds had been passed back into my account. Makes you think?????????
