Funds lift-off into FNB forex outer space

Our company confirmed a forex transaction online, FNB deducted the money and then the money disappeared into FNB outer space.

Leaving our company and supplier empty handed and FNB speechless ....

Since Wednesday 5 Jan, nearly a week has lapsed without answers. We have since become an automated 'High Priority Complaint', but if it takes this long to track down funds, we cannot be such a high priority or they have serious internal control issues.

Meanwhile our supplier is doubting if we ever paid them because we have no confirmation of payment and no funds reflecting in their bank. It has broken down our business relationship and wasting business hours trying to get answers.

We cannot reprocess the payment with the fear that more money will be 'lost'.

FNB is good at general banking, however this episode has caused us to question if we will be risking our business with a bank that has no empathy for a business.

In the meantime we stare into space, hoping FNB will appear in the distance with any form of feedback.
