Frustrating and protracted process to replace lost cards

I am becoming increasingly disappointed in FNB.

I lost my wallet last week, 1 day before moving house. Naturally, I had to cancel my cards: FNB cheque and credit, and Discovery credit.

The online cancellation/ordering process is cumbersome (bad UX design), and there isn't even an option to reorder a credit card, only to cancel.

And FNB charged me R120 for a replacement card.

Then I get a message from FNB to say I'll receive a call from CCD, or I can schedule delivery myself by going to the "Just for you" messages - surprise surprise, there was nothing there.

Yesterday when I got a call from CCD to arrange delivery I explained I didn't have an ID or drivers because they were in my wallet which I lost, and would they accept my passport...the answer...NO. I'll need to have it delivered to a branch, as only they will accept a passport as ID proof? And this will happen in 3-5 working days.

Meanwhile, my new Discovery card has already been delivered and activated, for FREE, with no quibbles about accepting my passport.

I cancelled all my cards on the same day.

This is just another reason why, after years with FNB, I'm considering moving to Discovery.
