Frozen funds with no reason why
My account was frozen on the 5th of February at 11:30 and I had to find out by travelling all the way to the bank , talking to a consultant who later said that I should place it in the ATM to see why I couldn’t purchase food and transfer money to friends and family. Mind you, I had upgraded from Aspire to Premier within a week, only to be treated like trash and have zero customer support or communication from FNB. My consultant at Pretoria North branch said that I should try the app or check my emails as I should have received some kind of a warning as to why my R25k is frozen in both my savings and my premier account. Money can come in but it can’t go out. I was told to wait for ****** 24-48hrs and still no response from the so called Investivator being Sithembiso Mhlambe who gave me another investigator to contact after I emailed him multiple times only to a “sorry I’m not in the office contact this other person who’s also going to ignore you”. I contacted and waited like a fool, and ended up going to the bank again (using my hard earned money on bolt) to go to a waste and be told to wait another 24 to 48hrs. This was last week, on the 12th of February 2024. It is now the 19th of February and NO ONE HAS MADE ANY EFFORT TO CONTACT ME AND ASK ME QUESTIONS ABOUT MY INNOCENT ACCOUNT. I have every right to claim my funds because it is mine, not the bank’s! They are so quick to freeze but take their sweet time when it comes to treating you like the so called special client that you are. I want my money out and to close my premier account as well as highly recommend everyone to stay far from FNB if this is their new way of treating their clients. I’m absolutely ****ed and frustrated and can’t wait to continue with the likes of Standard Bank and upgrade on my other banking accounts, where customers are well taken care of.
