Frozen account without warning

When trying to do an iTunes transaction on Sunday iTunes refused to accept my debit card as a valid payment method. On Monday my card was declined twice so I visited the Menlyn Square branch to establish what the problem was. I was told that my account was frozen due to outstanding FICA requirements. I was surprised as I never received any communication in this regard despite the fact that all my details are up to date on internet banking and I receive my monthly statements via email. After about an hour at the branch I walked away with a list of outstanding documents which I sent later on Monday to [Email Removed] [Email Removed] and [Email Removed] I received an email indicating I would get feedback within 24 to 48 hours. To date I have not heard anything and my account is still frozen. Very disappointed that FNB operates in this manner, especially over month end when payments are due. Reference kycfreeze ***1 and customer care reference 713213.
