From debit order chaos to being accused of non payment

Dear FNB. I hate doing bad reviews and I really hoped that my experience with you would have been better, seeing that my wife has been banking with you for ages. Guess not. I got the Covid 19 Relief fund from FNB to cover the payments for my loan with Direct Axis. No issues there, the help was fantastic and the relief fund was sorted out without hassle. However, now that the time has come to repay this, I have been having endless issues with FNB. Firstly, the debit orders have not gone off. This was not my fault as I ensured that the funds are available when it needs to be. Then I get a call from FNB informing me that the account is in arrears due to non payment..... HALLO< YOU DIDN'T TAKE YOUR DEBIT ORDER, not my fault or problem. Nonetheless, I agreed to have the outstanding payments taken immediately and from there have the debit set for my salary date on the 28th of every month. Yet again, it's been 2 week and still no debit orders have gone off, and now I receive an sms stating that it will be deducted on the 15th, apparently my "salary date". I have tried to phone these guys on the number provided on the sms four times already. Every time I hold for minutes on end just for the line to cut out and no one answering. Very professional. Not sure how these guys work, it really looks like they have no clue what they are doing. Really not impressed.

Okay, so a week later, I got promises on SMS and email that someone would contact me regarding my problem. Still nothing, and still getting threatening messages about my account that is in "arrears". This must be the singularly most useless lot of people I have ever come across.
