"Free" data ??

On Wednesday 22 Jun I received an sms from FNB Connect apologising for the bad reception and intermittent Data access the day before. the sms stated they will be providing me with 50 mb free data by way of apology. Downloading my account statements today I noticed that I had in fact been charged for this "free" data! On top of this my Connect debit order bounced for no good reason (there were sufficient funds in my account) and so I called Connect to find out whether I still needed to pay or if it had now gone through. I was told to pay via online banking. I tried to do that but could not figure it out and so decided to call FNB enquiries to find out why the debit had bounced in the firt place. After 20 minutes on hold the operator could not tell me why. I was then transferred back to Connect on my request as I was told that they can assist me in making a payment. The Connect operator that answered said she could not help me and gave me a phone number to call, which turned out to be the FNB enquiries number with which I had just been on hold for 20 minutes! I called Connect again and was finally able to make a payment, and decided to download my statements because the amount was irregular. And so the puzzle pieces fall into place.

Thanks forthe "free" data FNB Connect!

I received an e-mail this morning stating that FNB tried to call me but it went to voicemail. How ironic that their troubled network is now preventing them from getting through to me. I was asked to provide a different number they could call me on. I don't have an alternative number so I responded stating when I will be available to speak on my same number. No response and no phone call yet. I've already wasted too much time on this nonesense.

There has been another missed call. As I stated in reply to the previous e-mail regarding a missed call, I am not available to speak in the mornings as I am in lectures and meetings. Please call me, on my same number, after 13:00.

I received another missed call from FNB to which I again rep**** stating that I am not available to take calls before 13:30 every day because I am in lectures and meetings! I just saw another missed call that came in during a lecture when my phone was on silent as it always is before 13:30 EVERY DAY as I communicated twice already, this being the third time.

No one ever responds to my e-mail and FNB keeps calling at inappropriate times!
