Bank employees at FNB Bank City (Town Johannesburg) namely Sylvia Kambule and Thamara ordered food delivery FOR the bank from my Mochachos store last week. The delivery guy overcharged her on the speedpoint by R100. Due to miscommunication and network issues an incorrect refund of R15 500 was made to Sylvia's personal account (an IMMEDIATE payment). Upon seeing the Proof of payment amount she clarified that the amount was incorrect and too high. I apologised for the inconvenience and asked for the money to be transferred back to me, l even told her to keep R500 as an apology for the misunderstanding. She has since denied the money ever reflecting in her account, l even politely asked for a bank statement with her balance blocked out as proof that the funds were not there and she stopped co-operating at that point. I emailed and spoke to her FNB team leader Constance Maart and she too sided with Sylvia Kambule, stating to me that I cannot ask her for her bank statement and I am abusing her. I even went further to email the Manager namely Christel Gomes about the issues and got a timeous response stating that it is a personal matter that does not concern the bank and I should take it up with the people concerned (despite the bank ordering the food from my store). My bank (ABSA) said the money left my account. I know the money was received by Sylvia Kambule She refuses to return back the money and I am disgusted as this is *****ing and from an FNB bank employee nonetheless.
