********** credit card opened in my name
Good day. Three weeks ago I received an email from FNB collections attorneys that is Hammond and Poole to say I have a credit card and the card is 9 months in arrears and that they will be coming to my parents house to repossess furniture. I then called the attorneys in question as I do not and never had a credit card with FNB in my life and I was advised to go to nearest FNB branch to enquire further and a helpful consultant at FNB Bryanston called the FNB Legal department and I spoke to them and I confirmed my details with them and my home address was not the same and the cell phone number used to open the account does not belong to me. They further advised that I go to the nearest SAP station and do an affidavit with 5 signatures and also certify a copy of my ID and I did that. I then sent through those documents to Hammond and Poole and to date I haven't received any response from them instead I am receiving threatening sms on my cell phone as I had to confirm my details with them. This is a ********** credit card opened in my name and Hammond and Poole will not hear none of that. My one question to them is who was paying the credit card from 2010 until it went into 9 months in arrears in 2017. Thirdly when the consultant checked on the system there was no credit card contract attached to this card. I intend reporting this matter to the banking ombudsman to get assistance in this regard.
