********** Credit Card

An online application for a credit card was processed on 28.09.2016. I received feedabck with regards to supporting documents, which I duly sent. I left for Cape Town on 01.10.2016 and still received requests to resend these supporting documents during my holiday. I returned on 08.10.2016, an sms and email notification was sent during the week confirming application successful. The notification advised my card will be couriered. Friday 21.10.2016 my credit card was delivered as promised. I immediately went onto my online banking as the credit card was loaded from day 1 on my profile. I then proceeded to "activate" my card but to my dismay the "activate" icon was now missing. I called into the call centre for answers, put on hold for 20 minutes for answers. When the lady finally speaks she advises there was a "mistake" made, "your card is not activated on our side, there is still outstanding documents pending," Told me i can email the department told her why must I do FNB's job becuase the card is now with me and I can't use it. This so-called "mistake" could of landed me in jail if I used it not knowing its "invalid". I spoke to her on Friday, today is Tuesday and nobody has contacted me. Why is FNB issuing ********** credit cards to clients and it even got my name and surname on it, so how is that a mistake? I will closing ALL my accounts after this encounter. I even app**** for an unlimted sim card, they debit my account on 24.10.2016, whereas my deduction date as per application choice was 05th of every month, for an amount not declared. FNB is not transparent as you receive "ghost charges" they appear out of nowhere, so R399 automatically becomes R455...FNB motto: how can we deceive you...!!! of no help.
