***** OF NO CONCERN FOR FNB
Where the hell do I begin? Firstly, I have a gold cheque account with FNB. The tap service on the card was activated/made active without confirmation from myself. 198December I lost my card. Some opportunistic fool picked it up and proceeded to shop using the tap option on my card, no authorisation/pin necessary. I reported the incident to the ***** department. I was told that someone would contact me within 7 to 14 working days. It is now 15 January ALMOST A MONTH LATER and I have still not heard anything from FNB. When I lay the complaint, I never received any notification that my complaint was being addressed or anything of the like. Gatvol of waiting, I now tried to phone them to follow up on my report. I held on for over 14mins before hanging up...WASTE OF TIME AND COSTLY PHONE BILLS. I want to know what on earth is being done about this *****? It seems that FNB care to make it easier for ********* to get away with ***** than they do caring about their customers. I received my new card the week after I reported the incident and I phoned to DEACTIVATE my tap service, because apparently it's ok with FNB to just have this service already active. I was told by the lady who helped me that I would receive an email from them within the hour to let me know that the tap option had been deactivated. SURPISE SURPRISE...I am still waiting for that confirmation email and I have no idea if the tap has been deactivated. I don't understand how people (myself included) keep banking with an institution who clearly do not value their customers and their needs. TO ALL ********* OUT THERE... Stick to de*****ing FNB customers...you will evidently get away with it :)
