***** inside First National Bank
On the 11 March 2020 I received call from cell no. *** firstly at 12h16 and again at 13h43. The Lady called herself Zandile Mahlangu introduced herself as a member of FNB ***** department The reason for phoning was that FNB was on mission to stop and reverse unauthorised Debit Orders. I was impressed because up to now FNB has done nothing about this. She said unauthorised Debit Orders will be reversed as far back as possible and in the future I will authorise Debit Orders before they through. There after she handed me to the so called Brian Smith with an Indian accent. He said he was in the FNB finance department. The unauthorised Debit Orders will be reversed into my account and I must give them permission through my FNB app to do so. This guy at that time was already in account because he would tell me about my earlier transactions. Thereafter he transferred me back to the so called FNB ***** department. Noxolo Khumalo finalised and gave the reference.
After five minutes I received a call stating that the previous callers were **********. I was confused I dropped the call. Immediately I tried to open my FNB profile but it was blocked. I went to the FNB branch ( Chris Hani) they could not help me.
On the 12th March 2020 I went back FNB -Chris Hani they manage to open the profile. In my first account there was eight ********** transactions totalling R 22 590.00. FNB managed to reverse five transactions leaving a balance of R 8 000,00. The second account had three ********** transactions totalling R 14 000.00. FNB managed to reverse two transactions leaving a balance of R 3 000.00. My total loss is R 11 000.00
My case was report to FNB ***** Department. It was discovered that all these money were transferred three different First National Bank accounts.
First National Bank is responsible for my losses a) ********** used their systems b) ********* used their Data Base c) ********** opened Accounts with First National Bank d) First National Bank does not protect its customers from ********** Debit Orders
