*****: FNB's inability to keep clients money safe!
***** @ FNB :
A case was lodged in which money -R1500 was withdrawn from my son's account earlier this year by means of card. (His card fell out of his wallet, 20 minutes later the withdrawal took place...I am not sure how they managed the withdrawal without a pincode......Taking into account that his monthly salary is max R5000 - this was a big loss...the bank assured us that this will not happen again, no need to close the account...a new card was issued.
Today again, R3500 were used out of his account! By means of card payment at a liquior shop. We informed the operator that it's not him who is making the purchase... this was during the 2nd Transaction,in which an attempt was made to withdraw all that was left in the account...
During our conversation with the operator we were rest assured that it's a ***** case...this to my understanding and previous experience with fnb means: write off the money you will NEVER see it again!
I am utterly dissatisfied and disgusted with FNB's inability to keep their clients money safe!
I have been a client of Standard Bank for more than 20 years, never ever did anything like this happen to me.
We no longer trust FNB to keep our money safe.
FNB please stop asking : " What can we do for you" and seek professional security services. It's quite clear that your current security team don't know what they are doing! In this particular case-they are NON existing!
