***** Case reported with FNB
Good day,
I am immensely dissapointed by the outcome of my ***** case with FNB, i believe that no investigation was even done at all by the ***** department and I was simply dismissed. I cannot believe that the bank I have been banking with since my teens is trying to de***** me! It is very disappointing.
I received a letter sent to the Mall of Africa branch located in Johannesburg-Midrand. I was told by the consultant in the ***** department that my case was declined and closed because the original card was used, and the correct pin was used therefore i authorized the payment and moreover my card was not cloned.
The card was used at a 4U Vodacom shop, Eikestad Mall-Stellenbosch for the amount of R12,999.00. Now i was no where near Stellenbosch on the day, 24 March 2019. I stay in Centurion-Rooihuiskraal, Pretoria and have not been to Cape Town in 10 years. And today Fnb is accusing me for being in Stellenbosch and me swiping my card there.
I am concerned by the lies coming from FNB during their investigation, I am told that the original card was used and the correct pin used. So i went ahead and did my investigation and this what i discovered: 1. Yes there was a purchase on the morning of the 24th of March 2019 at 09:32 am 2. The card that was used is not an FNB Card but a Standard Bank Master card for the amount of R12,999.00 3. The card and card number does not match my card 4. Yes this was the only huge payment the vodacom shop had on the day.
Fnb claims that I swiped for this purchase, how so when I was in Gauteng? How do I swipe in Gauteng and the Western cape on the same day, with the same card?, same card number? To my knowledge, FNB does not issue a client with 2 cards, containing of the same card number?
My question is WHERE IS MY MONEY? WHAT DID FNB DO WITH IT? Clearly i did not swipe for this purchase!
I attached the supporting documents to prove that I had my card on the day in question and i was in fact also using it to swipe in Pretoria and Bela-Bela where i was from the afternoon of Saturday 23 March 2019 to the afternoon of Sunday 24 March 2019 and not Stellenbosch as FNB is claiming.
