***** Case (***), eWallet Part was Never Resolved.
A complaint case was opened with FNB for **** (Reference number: 976260), where I authorized a payment of R10,000 for a gaming laptop to a Capitec Account, from my FNB account. The incident took place on Thursday, 17/10/2019.
I reported that I made a payment of R10,000 to a capitec account, and further report that the **** went to require R1950 paid to an eWallet number *** (as a courier insurance amount, repayable to me on delivery) on 18/10/2018, which I made that payment.
On calling FNB, the agent advised that they will block access to the eWallet number in order to recover the funds.
Tsheola Mothekgi (lawyer assigned to my case) sent me the letter from Capitec on 03/12/2019, advising me that such funds were withdrawn, I must open a ******** case, and they will assist law enforcement with any help they need. The letter was, of course, for the Capitec R10,000 amount.
On FNB side, there never was any feedback whatsoever on recovery of the eWallet amount of R1950 made to ***, to which I felt let down because eWallet is an FNB product, and I was hoping these funds are recoverable, but up to this end, there is still no feedback whatsoever from FNB on this eWallet transaction, and it was all my loss.
The case (Reference number: 976260) investigation appeared to have just focused on the amount paid to Capitec, and disregarded the eWallet although both incidence were reported together.
I am still not please at all regarding the handling of my case at all regarding the eWallet part.
These same people (www.moelectronics.co.za) who ****med me, are still in operation , and
Another person will still fall victim of this if these people are not stopped.
