On the 26/11/2022 I was on my way to work and realized that my bank card was missing. After I saw the first transaction going off I immediately went to the ATM at Shoprite Eldorado Park Extension 5 and blocked my card

I then proceeded to go to work thinking that I was safe as the card was successfully blocked even more transactions started going off my account which amounted to R4870. I left work and went to the police station to open a case and I was advised that I needed “proof”. Since the banks has already closed I waiting for Monday 28/11/2022 and went to the FNB branch at Rosebank Mall where I was put on the phone to speak to the ***** department

I was on hold for 30 minutes and was never assisted as there were “high call volumes” and I needed to get back to work

My question now is, how was the person able to continue transacting if the card was blocked and what is the way forward now? CONTACT NUMBER-***
