i am so stressed out and depressed right now,on the 3 November 2021 i was held hostage by two guys who demanded that i give them my phones and also took two bank cards one which was my FNB credit card, they also demanded pin code after all these traumatic experience i rushed to the nearest atm to stop card i further requested the petrol attendant to borrow me his phone to call fnb and make sure cards were blocked, unfortunately all my money were taken including transfers from my bond account but i was told card were cancelled, following day on the 4th i went to the branch mall@reds where they also confirmed my accounts were frozen and card blocked pending investigation. on the 10 November i received an sms saying i owe credit card R40K with the minimum payment of R3500 to be paid i immediately called the private banker as i only know balance owned was around 30 thousand something, the banker then confirmed that the card was used on the 6th and on the 8th of November 2021 even after i cancelled my card and i was told my accounts were frozen. what really frustrate me is the fact that i am sitting here i cant do anything without my banks cards but there's ******* that are continuing using my cards, when i went to the branch today the lady who was assisting kept on saying she doesn't understand how they keep on using the card even though the cards were cancelled..so the bank failed to answer that question and even today i still haven't received any call from the ***** department. all these transaction were done with my credit card even the withdrawal as i still have my fusion cheque card. i suspect an inside job how these people manage to by pass the system is still puzzling me. and the bank to have no answers really is frustrating. what guarantee do i have that my next salary will be safe with this bank.
