Hi there

On the 25th August 2015 I paid over a deposit to rent a house
In the days that follow it became clear that the person renting the house is just out to ***** money from unsuspecting people and the money withdrawn on the 29th August 2015
When I approached FNB in an attempt to recover my money I was bluntly told that they can and will not help as the money had already being withdrawn and that my only route to follow was a ******** case via the SAP
The fact that the banking sector has the FICA law in place is of no use
They refuse to contact the person and assist in re-claiming my money

They are more willing to support ********* than innocent people

I find this very disheartening as the FICA law states that you can not open a bank account without certain identifying documents
ID
Proof of address
Contact Number

I am not a FNB customer and there is a very high possibility never will be due to incompetence of their business practices

Any help from a third party at this point in time would be appreciated as my family need to move from our current house to a new one and a deposit will be needed

John
