Fradualent account and loan activities ag FNB LEADING TO DAMAGE
My husband received a letter in the post on Friday 16 August 2024 stating that he has a overdrawn account with FNB. This was puzzling seeing that he has never had a FNB Account.
He went into the local FNB today Saturday 17 August 2024. Upon arriving he was first instructed to make payment arrangements online but refused stating that he was not the one that made the loan application. After up and down a agent at the bank was willing to assist him.
This was when he found out a fradualent FNB account was opened in his name on January 2024. After this a personal loan of R131889 Checque account of R421. 25 Credit Card of R19388. 93
This was all information provided by the agent this morning.
The phone number applicable to the account is ***. This is also not a number that belongs to me.
He said on 31 July 2024 a ***** case was opened by FNB with case number ***.
As per printouts provided by the agent Payouts were made from this fradualent
accounts to a S Sibanda on the following dates with following amounts.. 6/6/2024 amount R30000 10/6/2024 amount R30000 11/6/2024 amount R6000
And to M Setlau 8/6/2024 amount R30000
This is all information gotten from the agent and the rest he said is confedential because it's a ***** investigation.
At the moment I have been up and down trying to get to the bottom of this matter. It's a real invasion of my privacy that this level of ***** could go undetected. For me it's staggering that the processes in FNB was not followed when allocating this money to the fradualent account.
I am taking this matter to all social media and media platforms as this is unacceptable. The suffering to my credit record and personal character damage is excessive and this matter will definitely not be left to bed without proper investigation from authorities and FNB themselves.
