Formal Complaint – Unacceptable Delay in Release of Funds

On 29 December 2025, I transferred money to my partner’s non-resident account and submitted all required documents.He also deposited funds into his account with full supporting documentation.

Two months later, FNB has still not released the money.They keep requesting “source of funds” but fail to explain exactly what is required. When we ask for clarification, no one responds and we wait weeks for feedback.

This level of delay and lack of communication from a leading South African bank is completely unacceptable.
