Forcing me to visit branch during covid times

Received an email to visit branch to submit my ID and Proof of Address. Due to COVID, I am not keen visiting branch and requested them to accept my docs through email but they are not ready assist as they mentioned that I don't have private banker. So if I have private banker I can submit them. Is this to force me to upgrade my account so that I can get a private banker and they can charge me more?

If this was any time, I would have visited branch. They can approve loans online without visiting branch but now they cannot accept docs through mail.
