FNB’s new pricing model
So, on top of the ********** debit orders they allow to go off from accounts every month, FNB has found a new way to make money. They withhold your money in any one of your other accounts (in my case, the extra funds I transferred to my RCP) and your banker tells you about dishonored cheques (which I wasn’t aware of) with no timelines of when the extra funds can be accessed. (First time in my 7 years with them that I’ve not been able to access my rcp with a balance of 15% being paid). They do this closer to your debit order dates so that all your debit orders bounce and they can make R110 from each one of your failed debit orders. So depending on the number of debit orders you have..... they can get a lot of money from your account.
