FNB's 2% Charge on "International Transactions" (Disney Plus/ Airbnb)

On the 31st of July and the 1st of August this year, I made 2 separate payments via my FNB credit card for a Disney Plus subscription and an Airbnb booking. I was charged a 2% fee for both bookings. When I queried this fee with FNB, I was told that this fee was applicable from July 2022 and applies to all transactions with any "international" company. When I reviewed the fee schedule, I found that this is only stipulated once on the document in a line at the bottom of the page in small text, literally "small print.". I have since requested more information on these charges, trying to understand how they work, who they apply to, and if I had to use my cheque account, would I incur the same charges? I have heard nothing back, just condescending FNB employees calling me and trying to explain that it's stated in the fee schedule and I should basically take it as the gospel without asking any questions. This is just ridiculous. If we had to be charged 2% on transactions with "international" companies, this would be almost every transaction. And how am I supposed to differentiate between South African and international companies? This seems like a tax or surcharge for doing business with international companies, which is not fair at all.
