FNB/RMB WORST BANK EVER

I have been here about FNB and I am back. I feel like a wife with an abusive husband and instead of leaving she keeps complaining. 1st, I feel FNB should have communicated better the why are they moving us to RMB? What does it mean to the way they use to do things etc. I don't remember any communication or asking for my consent to move me to RMB. I just started receiving RMB statements and I thought it was re-branding, I didn't know we were moving to a new entity altogether. So how I found out that these were separate entities, is when I app**** for a revolving facility and I was told I cant get it because I don't have an FNB account and a revolving facility is for FNB clients. You can imagine the shock because I thought I was banking with FNB. 2nd, I did not know that with RMB we don't have bankers anymore. A PRIVATE WEALTH CLIENT WITH NO BANKER. So I use to call Michelle Van Den Berg because I was told she's my banker. What I did not understand was with no fail every time I phoned her, even if I am asking for information she would not help. She will always refer me to the app and the private wealth suite. So the other day out of frustration after one of my calls I said to her I don't even know why I keep phoning you because you have never helped me. She then said to me, she's not my banker, (ANOTHER SHOCK) I actually don't have a banker. She said she's my analyst or advisor (I cant remember). I asked her who's my banker, she said I don't have (ANOTHER SHOCK).I then asked her to explain her role, she said she can only help me with policies, wills etc. but she cant help with banking. I then said to her chances are that I will not even need her services for the whole year or even years. That once in a while when I need these services I don't mind talking to a stranger but I mind being a private wealth client with no banker. So some of the examples of things she couldn't help me with is product application e.g. loans - she would say I must use the app, I would ask her who will negotiate for a better rate when I'm using the app, she said there are no negotiations you take it or leave it. I even said to her, in the past when I needed money the banker will check all the available options e.g. personal loan, overdraft and get me a cheaper one or/and the one suited for the reason why I needed money but now I must just go to the app. 2nd, when I need information or to talk to someone she said I must call the suite, of which to me is like calling a call centre. You talk to a different person every time you call, whereas with a banker they know you and they would advice you better. The examples are endless. So the last conversation we had she even advised me to downgrade because my expectations of wanting a banker are not going to be met. I think this was December if I'm not mistaken. I finally took her advice and today I send an email to downgrade whilst I'm shopping around for a new bank. It took me soo long to final make a decision to leave FNB because for years I was happy and I guess I kept hoping things will get better but instead they were getting worse. I use to recruit people to join FNB because of the service that we use to get. I am really saddened because FNB for me was part of who I am. I was proud to be an FNB client. I loved the bank with my whole heart. I have been talking to family and friends about this because almost everyone around me banks with FNB, I was shocked that the feeling is mutual but they don't have the energy to move banks hence they are stomaching all the unhappiness. I hope one day they will reach the stage that I am in and start shopping for a new bank.
