FNB/RMB Failing to Match the Nedbank Home Loan Interest Rate

I wanted to move my home loan from Nedbank to FNB since the majority of my banking products are with RMB/FNB. I started the application process in November 2024. I was assisted by Tshepiso Madumo. Everything was alright with my application process and they managed to match the main bank offer at Nedbank. The lawyers told me that the amount that FNB approved was not enough to cover the interest that must be paid to Nedbank. It puzzles me why FNB did not include that interest in the first place as they dela with these transfers daily. I then re-app**** for a bond amount that covers the interest. FNB approved the application but with an interest rate, 12.26%, that is 1.21% higher than the interest rate that I am getting at Nedbank. Only a mad person would move their home loan to a bank that would charge them an exorbitantly high interest rate. I am not even banking with Nedbank but they were able to offer me such a good interest rate. I was thinking since I have been banking with FNB/RMB for such a long time they would be able to at least match what Nedbank would offer me if I am their main banked customer. I am so disappointed with RMB/FNB. I have been hearing people talking badly about the interest rates at FNB/RMB, I am now experiencing it myself. I just wasted my time with this whole process for a bank that doesn't care that I have been their customer for such a long time. I am moving all of my banking products elsewhere. I cannot be with a bank who doesn't care about me. They just want to milk my money and make more money from the interest rates that I would be paying for 20 years.

I also shouldn't be going up and down between the lawyers and the bank. Why FNB did not calculate the interest and add it to the loan in the first place? Why should I depend on the lawyers to calculate it? The move of the bond should not cost me anything. So FNB expects me to be paying those interest fees out of my pocket. If I request those interests to be added to the bond, they just penalize me with very high interest rates, as it changed from 10.80% to 12.26%. If the interest rates were included in the first place there were going to be no ups and down with negotiations. I am so disappointed with FNB/RMB. It all ends here. I am moving my banking products to where I would be appreciated and valued as a customer. I have been considering the move to Investec Private Bank. Maybe it is time I should do that. Basically from all this, FNB/RMB is telling me that I am not appreciated and valued as a customer. I have heard you loud and clear FNB/RMB.
