FNB(First National Bank)
FNB changed my Overdraft to a Converted Overdraft which is now a Loan. Why was this done and who authorised this as I definitely did not authorise it. My overdraft disappeared for 5 years and then return from R28000 to R40000 with a 22 % Interest rate. How did this happen??? Can FNB please explain this to me. Where does the slogan "How can we help" come in if This is done without anybody from FNB contacting me to expalni what has happend here

27 Sept 2022, 07:33FNB "How can we help you" sent me this reply. None of my questions were answered......To day nobody has spoken to me. Very bad service indeed. Even though they promised they would contact me.
Good day Visagie We acknowledge receipt of your complaint. Please note that your overdraft was split from your cheque account on the 20th of November 2020 to a standalone residual loan account, which reflecting on your FNB banking app the day it was converted. Kindly note that you will not have access to any credit facility while you are under debt review, your overdraft facility is a credit facility. Your overdraft facility never disappeared, you just never had access to the credit facility due to your debt review status. Payment meant for your overdraft account where paid to your cheque account and utilised by your transactions. Trust you find the above in order. Should you have any debt review related queries please contact the FirstRand Debt Review Centre on the details noted below: Email address: *** Telephone number: *** Regards | | | | “Danny” Daniel Hartzer

27 Sept 2022, 07:34 Please I need clarity on this matter. I was place under Debt review by the courts on 17 May 2018. My overdraft was part of the Debt Review process. FNB moved my overdraft as part of the Debt Review to a Converted Overdraft for my Debt Councelor to Pay monthly. My Debt counselor was never informed by FNB of the Converted Overdraft as confirmed by FNB as well as my DC. I too was also not informed that for the five years this account was not being paid by FNB or the DC. Five years followed with no communication from FNB regarding this non-payment either to me or to the DC. Now after I have been cleared from Debt Councilling FNB is demanding this non Payment with interest from Me.
1. Why did FNB not inform the DC of the converted overdrive for which they were liable as part of my debt review.
2. Why did FNB not inform the DC or Me that the account is not being paid.
3. Why did it take 5 year for this matter to be addressed.
4. My original amount was R28 000 which has now escalated to R40 000.
5. Why did this account appear for the first time on my online profile on 15 September 2022.
6. My DC is indicating FNB did not inform them of the Converted Overdraft and for Five years did not communicate non-payment.
I have suffer through 5 years of Debt Review paying every month to now be confronted with an additional payment.
